Lawn Planner Pro

The pro planner that maps your yard and turns it into one seeding, cost, and care plan — with reminders.

What this does

Lawn Planner Pro ties the free calculators into a single saved plan. Map your yard, pick your species, and it works out seed and cost, builds a zone-aware planting and watering schedule, and sends reminders so each step happens on time.

How it works

Four jobs, one plan

1 · MAP your yard zones (sun, traffic, size)
2 · RATE+COST seed quantity and budget per zone
3 · SCHEDULE zone-aware sow + watering calendar
4 · REMIND timed nudges for each step

Each stage uses the same sourced data layer as the free tools — the seeding-rate library, USDA zone data, and frost-date normals — so the numbers match what you’d get running each calculator yourself.

The difference is that Planner Pro remembers your yard and sequences everything: instead of six separate answers you get one dated plan with reminders.

Planner Pro is a subscription tool and is launching soon — every step it automates is available free in the calculators below today.

How to use it

Step by step

  1. 1. Map your yard into zones by sun, traffic, and size.
  2. 2. Pick species, or let the finder recommend per zone.
  3. 3. Review seed quantity and cost for the whole project.
  4. 4. Get a zone-aware planting and watering schedule.
  5. 5. Receive reminders as each sow and care date arrives.

Getting an accurate answer

Planner Pro suits whole-yard conversions, multiple zones, or anyone who’d rather have the plan and reminders handled than track them by hand.

The plan uses the same figures as the individual calculators it combines — species rates come from the seeding rate library, so every number in your plan is traceable.

For a single small area, the free calculators below cover everything you need.

How it works: Planner Pro does not invent its own math — it chains the same methods the free calculators publish and draws on the same sourced data layer. Seed quantity comes from area ÷ 1,000 × the species seeding rate; cost from the seed-and-budget calculator; and the planting and watering dates from the zone-aware date and establishment schedules. Because the inputs and formulas are the documented free-tool methods, a Planner Pro estimate matches what you would get by running each free calculator by hand.

FAQ

Common questions

What does Planner Pro add over the free tools?

It remembers your yard and sequences every step into one dated plan with reminders, instead of six separate calculator answers.

Is it free?

The individual calculators are free. Planner Pro is a paid subscription that automates and schedules them, and it’s launching soon.

What kind of reminders does it send?

Timed nudges for each milestone — when to sow each zone, when to shift watering phases, and when to overseed or mow.

Do I need it?

Not for a single small area — the free tools cover that. It earns its keep on whole-yard or multi-zone projects.
