Description
Establishment Assurance gives your new eco-lawn a safety net for the season that makes or breaks it. You get a pre-sowing review, expert support at every milestone, and a remedial plan — including a discounted re-seed — if bare patches remain after you have followed the guidance.
The first eight to twelve weeks decide whether an eco-lawn thrives or disappoints. Most establishment failures are not the seed — they are timing, soil contact, watering, or an unrealistic first mow, and every one of them is avoidable with the right guidance at the right moment.
Establishment Assurance puts an establishment specialist alongside you for that whole first season. We review your plan before you sow, check in at each critical milestone, and give you a concrete remedy — not a shrug — if patches do not fill in as they should.
What’s included
- A pre-sowing review of your soil, site, timing, and seed choice, with specific corrections before you spend a day sowing.
- A full season of email support from our establishment lead, with replies grounded in your site rather than generic tips.
- Milestone guidance at the three moments that matter most: germination, first mow, and settling-in.
- A written watering and mowing schedule tuned to your seed mix and USDA zone.
- A remedial plan if establishment stalls, including a diagnosis of what went wrong.
- A discounted re-seed of any bare areas that persist after you have followed the guidance.

Who it’s for
| A good fit if… | Probably not the right fit if… |
|---|---|
| ✓ You are sowing a new eco-lawn this season and want it to succeed the first time. | ✗ Your lawn is already established and you only need occasional advice (choose a Consultation). |
| ✓ You are new to clover, fescue, or thyme establishment. | ✗ You want us to physically install the lawn for you (we advise; we do not send a crew). |
| ✓ You want a real remedy if things go wrong, not just a refund. | ✗ You have not chosen a seed mix yet (start with a Consultation or Custom Blend). |
Why Competitive Lawn
Every recommendation here is held to the same standard as our seed range. Guidance is reviewed by Olivia Milner, our Director of Ecology & Education, and Alyssa Culpepper, our Seed & Establishment Lead, and it is drawn from Tier-1 authorities — USDA, university cooperative extensions, the ASPCA, and EPA WaterSense — not guesswork. For establishment specifically, that means watering and mowing guidance built on cooperative-extension establishment research, not a one-size-fits-all card.
Because we grow and blend the seed, the person reviewing your plan knows exactly how your mix behaves in its first season — when clover should appear, when fescue fills, and when thyme is simply still building roots and needs patience rather than intervention. And we will tell you honestly when an eco-lawn is or is not the right fit for your site or your goal, because a lawn that fails, or an application that was never going to be approved, helps no one. That honesty is the whole point of buying advice from the people who grow the seed.
Common questions
Is this a guarantee my lawn will look perfect?
No. It is hands-on support plus a remedial re-seed if bare patches persist after you have followed the plan. Outcomes still depend on your site, weather, and following the guidance — but you are far less likely to lose a season.
How do you deliver the support?
By email, tied to your site and mix. You get milestone check-ins and can ask questions whenever they come up during the season.
What counts as a “persistent bare patch”?
Areas that have not filled in after germination and the normal fill-in window for your mix, despite correct watering and mowing. We diagnose the cause first, then issue the re-seed discount.
Which tier should I buy?
Match your total lawn area. If you are covering several separate areas, add them up and choose the tier that covers the total.
Do you install the lawn?
No — this is expert support for a lawn you sow yourself. If you want a done-for-you plan, add a Consultation with a written plan.
Can I add this after I have already sown?
It is designed to start before sowing, where it prevents the most failures. If you have just sown, contact us and we will tell you honestly whether it still adds value for your situation.
Good to know
- This is advisory support, not professional horticultural, legal, or veterinary advice; verify local conditions for your site.
- The re-seed remedy is a discount on replacement seed for persistent bare areas, not a cash refund or a promise of a specific appearance.
- Support is delivered remotely (email); we do not send an installation crew.
