Rebates are local, and the rules bite
There’s no national lawn rebate — programs are run by local water agencies, mostly in the drought-stressed West (California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado), and amounts change with funding. The catch most people miss: many programs require replacing grass with non-turf, drought-tolerant plantings and explicitly exclude “turf-looking grasses,” so a low-water seed lawn may not qualify. 3. We prepare the application. Pre-approval paperwork, plant lists and the documentation each program wants.
4. You submit and convert. Only after written approval — the single most important rule.

If your program won’t cover a seed-based eco-lawn, we’ll say so before you pay an application fee or pull up turf — and we’ll point you to alternatives (a qualifying planting design, or simply the water-bill savings, which you get either way).
