How much creeping thyme seed do I need?
Enter your area and we’ll work out which bags cover it. All eight of our thyme varieties use the same coverage, so choose on bloom and site rather than on bag size.

Got an L-shape, or several separate beds? Add each rectangle and we’ll total them.
What you’re planting, and where
Overseeding uses half the seed of a new planting, because you’re filling in around plants that are already there.
Choose your thyme
All eight cover the same ground. These are ordered for where you said you’re planting.

What to expect after sowing
Thyme is slow to start, and it is meant to be. Year one puts roots down with little to show above ground — keep it weeded. Year two the plants spread and knit together, and you get the first real bloom. By year three it is a dense mat that crowds weeds out on its own.
